Fall 2012: Worst-Case Scenario Safetember Series

Student Union and Commuter Student Services are offering a Worst-Case Scenario Safetember Series for UAA students as part of Safety Awareness Month. Each Safety Fest will have food, prizes and practical information from students and local experts regarding outdoors safety, bike safety, apartment/home safety and automobile safety.

Outdoor Safety Fest
Wednesday, Sept. 12, 3-5 p.m.
Student Union, Upper Lounge

The Department of Fish and Game will be interacting with students on bear safety and the North America Outdoor Institute (NAOI) will have resources to facilitate safe outdoor experiences. There will be free pizza, churros and plenty of helpful information to help learn the safe ways to enjoy the great outdoors of Alaska.

Bike Safety Fest

Apartment Safety Fest
Monday, Sept. 24, 3-5 p.m.
Student Union, North Café

Automobile Winterization Fest
Tuesday, Sept. 25, 3-5 p.m.
