Update on parking costs at UAA

Dear UAA Community,

As we gear up for the fall semester, I am excited to announce a substantial discount on the cost of parking that will make our campus more accessible and affordable for UAA students and employees. 

For the 2022-2023 academic year, annual and semester parking permits will be discounted by 25%. More information about pricing and purchasing can be found on the Parking Services website. 

If you already purchased an annual or semester pass under the Early Bird Special, Parking Services will refund the amount of your payment exceeding the 25% discounted rate. No action is necessary on your part to initiate this refund. There are no discounts offered for the Priority Parking Permit.

Parking fees support snow plowing, gravel distribution, parking garage debt and other costs. However, we have heard loud and clear that parking fees can be a financial burden, especially for students. UAA leadership is committed to removing barriers for our students. We are also invested in fostering a vibrant campus community and hope this change will make it easier for students, staff and faculty to join us for in-person opportunities.
