John Stetson: Eyewitness to Global Warming

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Noted photographer and dog musher, John Stetson, will visit UAA on Monday, December 3 at 7 p.m. in Rasmuson Hall, room 101 to present his lecture, "Eyewitness to Global Warming." Stetson's presentation is a fascinating personal account of the ever-changing arctic regions. He will share photos and first-hand experiences from his 80,000 miles of dog sled travel over 25 years. Stetson has great insight and stories gleaned from traveling with the Inuit on the recent Global Warming 101 Expedition on Baffin Island.

Stetson will speak about global warming solutions for individuals, educators, businesses and communities. His dramatic presentation of a very serious issue delivers a message of hope and empowerment to all. Sponsored by Global Warming 101, Sustainability at UAA, Alaska Conservation Solutions, ALPHA and the Alaska Center for the Environment.
