Thinking of applying for tenure or promotion? (room change)

The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence and the Office of Academic Affairs announce a workshop on this subject Friday, April 11, from 8:30 a.m. to 10 a.m. in Rasmuson Hall 204. The agenda will be as follows:

8:30-8:50 a.m. - Welcome and presentation by OAA (Provost Michael Driscoll and Kim Perkins, Faculty Services). There will be an overview of the faculty evaluation process, resources available on the Faculty Services Web site, important dates for the Retention, Promotion and Tenure process and highlights of the retention file preparation and review process for new faculty.

8:50-9:40 a.m. - Panel: University-wide faculty review committee representatives (Ellen McKay, Trina Carter, Robin Wahto) CAS Associate Dean (Patricia Linton). The panel will discuss recommendations for file preparation and areas of clarification and concern. Kerri Morris (or designee) will present on IDEA - What role will the IDEA results play in the review of faculty member's teaching component.

There will be a breakout session with Q and A at the end.
