UAA Confucius Institute celebrates Chinese New Year - Feb. 23, 2010

The UAA Confucius Institute will celebrate the Chinese New Year by welcoming a performing troupe from Beijing Normal University, one of China's premier educational institutions. The troupe will appear at the Wendy Williamson Auditorium on Tuesday. Feb. 23 at 7 p.m.

The performance will feature a variety of music and dance styles, including traditional folk tunes and dances as well as contemporary song and dance. Martial arts demonstrations will be a part of the program. Musicians will play a variety of classical instruments and tunes.
