On April 2 University of Alaska Anchorage students bring together Anchorage’s mayoral candidates to debate collegiate and community concerns including cost of living, public safety and homelessness.

Student organizers say the event is designed to engage Anchorage’s often-ignored young voters ⎯ and potential young voters ⎯ in the political process. Confirmed participants include Ethan Berkowitz, Dan Coffey, Amy Demboski and Andrew Halcro. Radio station KRUA 88.1-FM is broadcasting the debate live.
