First-Year

First-year applicants are students who have earned (or will soon earn) a high school diploma or GED and have earned less than 24 semester college credits after graduation.

  • High School Transcripts
If you’re still attending high school

Applicants who are still attending high school must submit a partial transcript during their senior year and provide an expected graduation date on their application for admission.

    If you’ve completed high school

Applicants who have completed high school (or GED/HiSET) must provide a final transcript along with graduation date.

Anchorage School District graduates can order transcripts online with the Anchorage School District request for transcripts form.

  • GED

Students who earned a GED rather than a high school diploma will be required to provide an official GED score report issued from the state which awarded the GED.

Students who earned their GED in Alaska can request an official GED transcript using the State of Alaska GED Transcript Request form.

Important Note: Non-high school graduates without a GED should see the UAA catalog for more information.

  • College Credits
    • Final and official transcripts are required from every institutionally accredited institutions attended, including attendance during high school.
    • An in-progress transcript can be submitted for admission. A final transcript will be required after grades are posted to that transcript in order to receive transfer credit for any in-progress coursework.
    • Transcripts are not required from any University of Alaska campus.
