Dr Yong Cao is a Professor of Marketing at the University of Alaska Anchorage’s College of Business and Public Policy. His research expertise spans global marketing, customer relationship management, service marketing and the application of artificial intelligence in marketing and business management. He has published in leading journals, including the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Retailing, and Journal of Service Research.

His current research focuses on the diffusion of marketing knowledge across disciplines, consumer well-being, social media platform features and usage, and the impact of AI on business practices and consumer identity. In 2025, he received two prestigious honours: the CBPP Innovation Award and the AI Applications Award.
