Celebrating Excellence: CBPP Faculty Shine at the 2025 CAFE "Oh Wow" Awards

The College of Business and Public Policy (CBPP) is proud to recognize three outstanding faculty members who were honored at this year’s CAFE "Oh Wow" (COW) Awards. Returning for the first time since 2019, the COW Awards celebrated faculty excellence and the incredible work happening across UAA.
Stasia Straley was recognized for Innovation in the category of Excellence in Teaching. Stasia’s creative approach in the classroom continues to engage and inspire students, bringing fresh perspectives to business education and beyond. She was also acknowledged for her leadership in faculty development as part of the CAFE Focus Power Hour Faculty Interest Group, helping colleagues thrive through collaboration and shared learning.
Sharon Lind earned the award for Global and Multicultural Studies under Excellence in Teaching. Sharon’s dedication to integrating global perspectives into her courses enriches the learning experience and equips students with the knowledge and skills to navigate an interconnected world.
Lance Howe received the Impact award for Excellence in Research and Creative Scholarship. His research not only advances knowledge in his field but also contributes meaningful insights that influence policy and practice in our communities.
