SAGE Mentor Program

The Student Academic Growth & Engagement (SAGE) Program is being planned and created (to begin Fall '24) in order to help support incoming students with understanding, belonging, and engaging in their college experience during their first year. SAGES (Student Academic Growth & Engagement Staff) will be peer student staff who will be reaching out to those students assigned to them. They will be helping their cohort of students to feel more at home in their first year at UAA and will be open to answering any questions students may have. They will be trained to masterfully refer students to current resources/programs across UAA and will be tasked with treating students with an attitude of care and belonging.
