The LRC Math Lab (SMH 126) coordinates test proctoring services for students enrolled in College Preparatory & Development Studies (CPDS) courses Math 054, 055 and 105. Testing is available in the LRC Math Testing Rooms with a WolfCard or photo ID.

The testing process is designed to be a low-stress testing experience in a space that is comfortable, has few distractions and is self-paced. Pre-planning is important so that students take tests when best prepared and rested.

Test proctors actively monitor the testing environment for compliance with UAA academic honesty and integrity policies.

Testing Process

To take a test, students check in at either the LRC Information Desk (SMH 125) or directly at the test proctoring office (SMH 121), show their ID and receive their test.

  • Notes, books and cell phones are not permitted.
  • Tests can be taken any time during operating hours, but distribution of tests stops one hour prior to closing. All tests are collected promptly at the scheduled closing time.
  • Instructors subsequently pick up and grade their students’ tests, returning them to the Math Lab (SMH 126). Graded tests are then available to students for review, with assistance from tutors for clarification of concepts to reinforce learning.
