Career and Technical Education Month

The Community and Technical College is celebrating Career and Technical Education month. Training and education for the fastest growing occupations are available in the Community and Technical College at UAA, this month they are celebrating students and program successes.
  • The Radiology Technology program has extended their AAS degree program to UAF and UAS on a rotating basis, as well as Ketchikan with a new cohort starting every fall. A Bethel cohort will be starting in fall 2009 and will rotate each year.
  • Medical Laboratory Technology has access to brand new cutting edge equipment purchased and owned by Abbott Labs.
  • The Dental Clinic is being remodeled and technology updated. The process should be done in time for next fall semester.
  • Dental Hygiene graduates were placed in the top ten percent in the nation on their national boards.
  • Allied Health has created four new occupational endorsements: Limited Radiography, Pharmacy Technology, Clinical Assistant, and Phlebotomy.
