Colleague to Colleague

CAFE invites you to attend a public presentation and faculty workshop entitled Colleague
to Colleague for Teaching Excellence, presented by Dr. Barbara Gottesman. The public
lecture is from 7 to 9 p.m. Feb. 15 in Library 307. The faculty workshop is from 10
a.m. to 2 p.m. Feb. 16 in Library 307. RSVPs are required for the Friday workshop
as space is limited.
During the workshop and public presentation Dr. Barbara Gottesman will discuss and
demonstrate the model of peer coaching she developed in 1991. Pear coaching is a simple,
five step process for observing, giving feedback and coaching a colleague. It is based
on a colleague's request for coaching on a new technique or old problem and has been
demonstrated to improve teaching and increase the understanding and achievement of
students.
