Join the Community and Technical College in celebrating Career and Technical Education month

Training and education for the fastest growing occupations are available within the Community and Technical College at UAA, and this month we are celebrating our students and program successes.

Here are some recent highlights from the Transportation and Power division:

 

• The division accomplished recertification through NATEF for all programs.
  
• 51 students have been placed in internships in the Automotive and Heavy Duty repair industry during this academic year.
  
• The division received significant donations of equipment from Cummins North West and from Ford Motor Company to upgrade the lab equipment for student use.
  
• The division hosted statewide competitions for high school students for Skills USA and Ford AAA auto competitions, with former high school winners now enrolled at UAA.
