Amnesty International discusses challenging topics

Amnesty Internationals Larry Cox will be presenting on sexual violence against indigenous women on March 29 at 7 p.m. in the Loussac Library in the Wilda Marston Theater.

Larry Cox's presentation is designed to raise awareness about the amount of sexual assault and rape in Anchorage. Mr. Cox and three additional panelists from Alaska will discuss what is being done about this ahead of the release of an international report by Amnesty International regarding sexual violence against Alaska Native and Native American women.

Also on March 30 at 10 a.m., an additional discussion will be held for UAA faculty with the primary focus of the discussion being the integration of human rights into the classroom.
