Alaska Drum Making Class

Becky Etukeok-Johnson (Inupiaq/Siberian Yupik/Tlingit) will teach drum making this
weekend at the Commons. UAA students, faculty, staff, and Anchorage community members
can apply to take part in the free drum making classes. Northern and Southwestern
style (Ceconite/Nylon) drums will be taught Saturday, April 21, 12 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Interior & Southeastern style (hide) drums will be taught Sunday, April 22, 12 p.m.
to 5:00 p.m. Contact Karla Booth at 751-7452 for more information and to learn how
to submit your request. Requests must be received by 5 p.m. Thursday.
