Developing a Business Plan

On April 19 at the Small Business Development Center on 430 W. 7th Ave. will be teaching a course on Developing a Business Plan. The class runs from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and covers the basic steps involved in producing a good business plan, including researching business ideas, analyzing the profitability of small business, introduction to the necessary financial statements and considerations of loan requirements. The UAA Small Business Development Center will present Quickbooks on April 20 from Noon to 5 p.m. at UC 149. This hands on beginner class gives an overview of basic set up to the new user including invoicing and account receivables and payables. Participants will learn to use the necessary accounting tools and will be able to set up their own working accounting system. Working knowledge of basic Windows skills is required.
