Sophist Salmon Debate

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Dean Case and the CBPP Faculty Research Seminar Committee invite everyone to attend the annual CBPP Sophist Salmon debate on April 13, from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in RH 101.
The resolution: This house resolves that a state income tax is the only real solution to Alaska's fiscal problems.

The teams: Professors Lee Huskey and Gunnar Knapp vs. Professors Steve Colt and Steve Johnson

The sophist principle: Each team prepares both sides of the resolution but a coin toss close to debate day determines which side they must argue. The audience will decide the winning team by voting with the feat. Please attend what promises to be an educational and entertaining event.
