The UAA Department of Music holds final season performance in its annual Jazz Week Benefit Concert Series

The UAA Department of Music is sponsoring the last concert in its annual Jazz Week Benefit Concert Series on Wednesday, April 25 at 7:30 p.m. in the UAA Arts Building Recital Hall.

This concert will feature UAA student groups, including the UAA Vocal Jazz Combo, the 11 O'clock Jazz Combo and the UAA Jazz Ensemble (big band).  This event will culminate evidence of students' work through their participation in weekly rehearsals and various performance opportunities afforded each group throughout the spring semester.  Selections will include standard jazz repertoire such as Stolen Moments, My Romance, Lester Leaps In, In a Sentimental Mood and Mean to Me. Proceeds from this concert benefit UAA's Jazz Week 2008.

 

Advance tickets are $2 UAA students; $5 seniors, students and military; $10 general admission.  Day of concert, tickets are $7 UAA students; $10 seniors, students, and military; $15 general admission.  No reserved seating.  Tickets are available at the UAA Fine Arts Building Box Office, 786-4Tix (786-4849, call for hours of operation).
