UAA Trombone Trio celebrates International Trombone Week

Department of Music faculty premier trombone talents

UAA's Trombone Trio will perform on April 6 at 7:30 p.m. in Fine Arts 150. The trio is comprised of Christopher Sweeney, Philip Munger, and George Belden, who are faculty members in UAA's Department of Music.  The Trio plans to perform musical pieces by Corelli, Bach, Ewazen, and faculty composer George Belden.  The concert is being held during International Trombone week, a celebration where trombone enthusiasts from around the world host pro-trombone events such as recitals, big-band performances, community and school concerts and trombone ensembles. Any event that includes trombones is welcome to participate in International Trombone Week.

Advanced ticket prices: $2 for UAA students, $7 for students, seniors, and military, and $12 general admission.  Day of performance: $7 for UAA Students, $12 for students, seniors, and military and $17 general admission.  You can reserve you tickets by visiting the UAA Fine Arts Building Box Office (call for hours of operation) or by calling 786-4849.  For more information, call 786-1595.
