Dr. Jerzy Maselko from the Chemistry Department has been invited to participate in an NSF Workshop on Complexity and Emergent Phenomena in Chemistry. This workshop will take place on May 13 through 15 in Arlington, VA. This workshop will bring together 30 to 40 chemists from different backgrounds in the areas of complexity and emergent phenomena. The objective of the workshop will be to make recommendations on priority areas for funding within the Chemistry Division of Mathematical and Physical Sciences for lobbying the Government.
