by Kathleen McCoy  |

Bob McDonnell will assume the Parking Services Director position beginning today, Monday, June 18.  Bob replaces Ann Soper who will be retiring mid July.
McDonnell is new to Alaska and to UAA.  He and his wife moved to Alaska from Rosharon, Texas, where he was employed as a production manager for Rinker, one of the world's top 10 international construction materials companies.  Prior to his work as a production manager, he was an undersheriff for the Montezuma County Sheriff's office in Cortez, Colorado from 1983 to 1997.

McDonnell is responsible for all parking services on campus, including enforcement and permit issuing management.  He will oversee the current parking garage in addition to the parking requirements for the new garage that will be built near the Integrated Science Building.  Also, McDonnell will supervise 20 student Call Team Officers (CTO) during the Fall and Spring semesters.

Please join us in welcoming Bob McDonnell to the University of Alaska Anchorage family!  For questions or additional information contact Jim Cummings at 786-4668 or anjwc1@uaa.alaska.edu.
