National media outlet falsely reports bomb threat at UAA

A recent report by CBS National News erroneously indicated that the University of Alaska Anchorage received a bomb threat within the past 10 days. The report may have been referencing an e-mail bomb threat that occurred on Aug. 25 at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, but there have been no recent bomb threats at UAA.

The UAA Crisis Response Team, a small group of University officials on-call 24/7, is in place and ready to quickly respond to on-campus crisis situations such as bomb threats and other unexpected emergency circumstances.
