Talk on interior construction, design at 1 p.m. today

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Mogens Smed, known as the voice of Modular Interior Construction, will give a talk, titled "Doing It Right This Time" (DIRTT), at 1 p.m. today, Oct. 29, in the Campus Bookstore. Among Smed's topics are the reason conventionally built interiors shorten the lifecycle of buildings whereas DIRTT can be an environmentally sustainable method for reducing material waste, greenhouse gasses, energy use and  the real estate footprint during the initial construction of modular interiors. There also are financial (and potential tax) benefits.
