UAA Dance Ensemble in Concert

UAA Department of Theatre and Dance proudly presents its acclaimed "Dance Ensemble in Concert" featuring the company performing original choreography by Department of Theatre and Dance faculty members Brian Jeffery and Katya Kuznetsova. Dance Ensemble in Concert will take place from November 8-November 18, 2007. Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 8 p.m.; Sundays at 6 p.m. Harper Studio Theatre, UAA Fine Arts Building. 

Jeffery features the new members of Dance Ensemble, four men and four women, in the premiere of "The Distance Between Us."  Danced to an eclectic music score with tunes by Bonobo, Four Tet, Mice Parade and Broken Social Scene, this stylish new work investigates the duality of couples encountering the proximities of their closeness and separateness.

Kuznetsova is one of Anchorage's most familiar and popular dance artists recognized for her abilities as a performer, choreographer and educator.  She will be performing a much-anticipated new solo work.  Kuznetsova also showcases the dancing prowess of Ensemble Alumni Walter Barillas and Irenerose Castillo performing a duet full of playful and luscious movement.

Ticket Prices - Last year these performances sold out.  Seating is limited!
