Dr. Lassi Heininen of Finland presents "Geopolitics of a Globalized North" on Tuesday, Feb. 12 at 4 p.m. in Rasmuson Hall, room 303.
Dr. Heininen is a political scientist and chairman of the steering committee of the Northern Research Forum. He is an international leader in studying the issues, concerns and promise of the eight nations which comprise the "Circumpolar North." His research focuses on international relations, geopolitics, security-policy and environmental politics. Dr. Heininen is sponsored by the University Honors College, International Studies and the UAA Economics Club.
