Model United Nations 2008 Topic: Slavery in the Modern Age

Feb. 21, 22 and 23, 2008 marks the 26th Annual Model United Nations of Alaska, hosted by the UAA Political Science Department. Opening Ceremonies will be Thursday, Feb. 21 from 6 to 9 p.m. Committee meetings will be held on Friday, Feb. 22 on the UAA campus from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. The General Assembly and Closing Ceremonies will also be held on the UAA campus, Saturday, Feb. 23 from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This conference unites high school and college teams from across the state for three days of discussion and debate on the topic of "Slavery in the Modern Age." The Model UN conference simulates the procedures of the United Nations.
