Daylight savings, water and batteries

by Kathleen McCoy  |

From your Emergency Preparedness Coordinator: Remember to turn your clocks ahead one hour on Sunday. This is also a good time to change both the batteries in your smoke detectors and water in your survival kit. Remember that even if your detectors are hard-wired to your home or apartment, they likely also contain batteries so they offer protection when electrical power is out. Lt. Ron Swartz, UAA EPC.
