Fisheries Club hosts talks on Pebble Mine today and Tuesday

The UAA Fisheries Club is hosting two speakers for its continuing series on The Pebble Project: Fish and Science. Today, March 27, at 5:30 p.m., in ANSEP 103, Dr. Carol Ann Woody will speak on "Pebble: Fisheries Science and Regulatory Deficiencies." Dr. Woody is an expert on Bristol Bay salmon and an independent fisheries consultant.

On Tuesday, April 1, at 5:30 p.m., in Consortium Library 307, Greg Beischer will speak on "Mining Practices."  Mr. Beischer is president of the Alaska Miners Association and has worked as a consultant for Bristol Environmental, a subsidiary of the Bristol Bay Native Association.
