by Kathleen McCoy  |

Spring is around the corner but it's never too early to get ready for winter! James Afcan, originally from St. Mary's, will be showing students, faculty, staff, and Anchorage community members how to carve Yupik snow goggles (iinguak) from cottonwood bark.

Classes will be offered three nights in the Lee Gorsuch Commons from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 29; Wednesday, April 30 and Thursday, May 1.

For more information call Karla Booth at (907) 751-7452. Sponsored by Residence Life, Alaska Native & Rural Outreach Program, and the Division of Student Development.
