Summer 2008: Improvisational dance events explore multiple notions of North this weekend

One of the most innovative, outdoor participatory events will take place at UAA on Sunday, August 24, the day before the new academic year begins. The free two-part event, called MOVING NORTH, includes a community dance workshop in the afternoon and outdoor dance performance in the evening. Read more.

Community Workshop: Noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 24, UAA Dance Studio (PSB 162) and adjacent outdoor sites. (PSB was formerly Building K. Room 162 is in its southwest corner)

Outdoor Performance: 6-7 p.m., Sunday, August 24. Cross-campus movement begins at the north end of the courtyard between PSB and Sally Monserud Hall. It ends at the Consortium Library courtyard. Participants will move across campus. Spectators along the route are invited to gather afterward outside the library for the closing dance and post-performance discussion.
