Obama vs. McCain: Who is the best choice to become the next President of the U.S.?

If you missed the UAA Speech and Debate team discuss campaign policies at the public discussion last Thursday--you can listen to the podcasts of the event on the UAA podcast site at http://greenandgold.uaa.alaska.edu/podcasts/.

Podcast 1 of 3 features students from the award-winning UAA Speech and Debate Team debating the motion that John McCain would make a better president than Barack Obama. This proposition was created for purposes of debate and community discussion and does not necessarily represent the personal views held by the students, staff and/or faculty who argued for or against this proposition.

Podcast number 2 of this event features a faculty panel who discuss the policies of Obama and McCain. The panel includes Steve Colt, of the Institute of Social & Economic Research; Paul Johnson, professor of Economics; Kimberly Pace, professor of Political Science; and Larry Weiss, retired professor of Public Health.

In podcast 3 of this event, Libby Roderick of the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence facilitates a public discussion including responses from students with the UAA Speech and Debate Team, a faculty panel and members of the audience.
