IT Alert: Phishing Scam

The IT Services Department uncovered a new phishing scam on campus yesterday. IT requests
all students, staff and faculty delete the message immediately. If you should open
the message it is crucial that you do not follow the instructions offered within the
e-mail. If the you navigate to the Web site, you will see an exact duplicate of the
UAF eDir/AuthServ authentication page. Please remember, IT Services will never ask
for your password via e-mail; should you require additional information or assistance,
please do not hesitate to contact the UAA Call Center at (907) 786-4646, Option 1.
