Native Student Services Roundtable Discussion this afternoon

by Kathleen McCoy  |

Tuesday, Nov. 18, 1-3 p.m.
Rasmuson Hall, Room 108

Come for the free food and lively conversation at the Books of the Year informal Roundtable Discussion about the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) and Native corporations. This is the second in a series discussing the issues addressed in the book Do Alaska Native People Get Free Medical Care?

Native Student Services (NSS) wants to address these controversial topics in an informal setting where students feel comfortable asking those tough questions and aren't intimidated by professors. In collaboration with the UAA/APU Books of the Year program, NSS invites everyone to join the conversation about these important issues that affect our lives. You can download the chapter on ANCSA and Corporations (chapter 2) at www.uaa.alaska.edu/books-of-the-year for review and think of some good questions before attending.
