Dr. Thomas McGovern is an archaeologist and paleoecologist at Hunter College in New York. He will deliver two public lectures. On Wednesday, Feb. 25, at noon in the new USGS Alaska Science Center on the APU campus, he will discuss the results of an IPY (International Polar Year) interdisciplinary human ecodynamics study of the Medieval and Viking Age North Atlantic.
