Thursdays, March 5-April 10, 11 a.m.-4 p.m.
Rasmuson Hall Lobby

Are you confused about all of the changes in the tax law? How to fill out your return? Which exemptions, deductions and credits you can claim? The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program sponsored by the UAA Accounting Club in cooperation with the IRS provides free tax preparation assistance for low-to-moderate income taxpayers. Accounting students who have completed the IRS training and certification program will be available from 11 a.m.-4 a.m. on Thursdays from March 5 through April 10, as Volunteer Tax Assistors to provide free tax preparation assistance in the lobby of Rasmuson Hall. (Note: VITA will not be offered during spring break.)

Eligible low-to-moderate income taxpayers should bring this year's tax package, wage and earnings statement (Form W-2) from all employers, interest statements from banks (Form 1099), a copy of last year's tax return if available and other relevant information about income and deductions.

For additional assistance or to learn about other VITA sites in the Anchorage area, contact your local IRS office.
