Spring 2009: Rock climber presents new guide at UAA Bookstore

Alaskan Kelsey Gray will give a talk on a new publication, the Alaska Rock Climbing Guide, from 5-7 p.m. Monday, April 27 at the UAA Campus Bookstore. Kelsey Gray was born in Alaska and has climbed in over 10 countries. His book consists of 400 routes with climbing maps and instructions covering Hatcher Pass, Ravine Lake, Wiener Lake, Puriton Creek, Sea Cave, Tram Rock, Byron Glacier and Spencer Glacier. Come join us in celebrating the publication of this important and beautiful climbing guide.

In other Bookstore news, summer hours will begin Monday, May 4. The bookstore will be open from 8:30 a.m.-6 pm. Monday through Friday. The Bookstore will also offer its Super Blowout Sidewalk Sale Tuesday through Thursday, April 28-30, from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Check out special pricing on 2 GB iPod Shuffles, and 8 and 16 GB Nanos, while the supply lasts.
