Board of Regents set FY10 staff salary schedule

The Board of Regents approved a 4.5 percent grid increase for the FY10 Staff Salary Schedule and a 2 percent grid increase for the FY10 Temporary Staff Salary Schedule at their June 2009 meeting. This increase is effective July 5, 2009 and employees will see a change in their salary in the July 31, 2009 paycheck.

Concurrent with the FY10 across-the-board grid adjustment, the Board of Regents also approved to include a new starting step for each range or pay grade. In order to accomplish this, an earlier created "transition step" identified as "T2" was reactivated. This new step (T2) will be 2 percent below T3 and will apply to new hires only. This will help reduce compression by providing a way to bring new hires in at a lower salary step than current employees. This new step was only implemented in the FY10 Staff Salary Schedule and not in the FY10 Temporary Staff Salary Schedule.
