Fall 2009 news from the UAA Writing Center

For faculty, staff and students, as you prepare for the new academic year, please be aware of recent changes in Writing Center services. For fall 2009, the writing center will be able to serve preparatory students who are enrolled in preparatory English (PRPE) courses and English as a second language (ESL) courses only.

The Learning Resources Center (LRC) is requesting that faculty who may have syllabi which direct students to the writing center for tutoring to please update them to reflect this change. We are currently exploring the possibility of providing services to all students for Spring 2010. As alternatives, the computer-assisted writing lab and private tutoring are available for students at the LRC.
