The Chugiak-Eagle River Campus welcomes Certified Public Manager courses this semester in a retreat-like setting. Just 20 minutes from Anchorage, the classrooms overlook scenic vistas of forested hillsides, Cook Inlet and the Chugach Mountains. Take a day away from the office, learn and enjoy yourself.

Communication Skills

This course provides supervisors with practical tools to effectively communicate in a positive and perceptive manner. Communication concepts and associated communication models and skills will be covered. Topics include interpersonal effectiveness, verbal and nonverbal techniques, your personal impact on others, skillful questioning to avoid ambiguity, and turning confusion into clarity.
