TONIGHT: 'Cama-i Room Chat with Crystal Dushkin' will feature culture and history of the Unangax people of Atka

"Aang" (Unangax greeting)! All are invited to the Cama-i Room (located in the Lee Gorsuch Commons) on Tuesday, Sept. 1 from 6-7:30 p.m. to take part in a "Cama-i Room Chat with Crystal Dushkin." Crystal is Unangax from the community of Atka. She will share an overview of the Unangax people and discuss the internment that happened during World War II. In addition, she will discuss the cultural revitalization that took place in Atka through song and dance. Crystal is a mother, wife, daughter, singer, dancer, culture bearer and UAA graduate.
