2009 UAA Alaska Native/Native American Heritage Month offers events all through November

"Share the Spirit" is the theme of UAA's 2009 Alaska Native/Native American Heritage Month. This celebration features a series of rich cross-representational programs that promises to keep the celebration alive within us long after the programs are over.

Student discussions, lectures, movies, plays and potlucks are just a few of the many activities coordinated by the UAA Diversity Action Council and the Alaska Native/Native American Heritage Month Planning Committee. To expand this year's event, UAA has developed new collaborations with agencies from the greater Anchorage community such as the International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers and the Alaska Center for the Book.
