In partnership with the National Juneteenth Armed Services Commission, UAA College of Arts and Sciences History Department, AHAINA Student Programs and the Office of Campus Diversity and Compliance invite you to celebrate African American Army engineers who built the historic Alcan Highway during World War II and completed the Sikanni Chief River Bridge on Oct. 28, 1942.
Christopher Roe, 30-year retiree from the U.S. Army Reserve, will deliver remarks and present a video of this historic contribution to Alaska's history.
