International faculty development seminars through CIEE have an application deadline of Mar. 1, 2010
by Kathleen McCoy |
International Faculty Development Seminars offered by the Council on International
Educational Exchange (CIEE) are in-depth encounters with the people, places and issues
that shape our world. Open to faculty and administrators from institutions of higher
education, CIEE faculty seminars are programs with an interdisciplinary focus that
offer a contemporary, global perspective.
Choose from 20 topics in 23 countries. The seminars consist of one to two intensive
weeks of lectures by local faculty and experts from prestigious institutions, site
visits that illuminate ideas explored in those lectures, and opportunities for lively
discussions with international colleagues.
UAA faculty and administrators pay the CIEE member rate. Brochures are available
from the Office of International Affairs. Contact Leslie Tuovinen (anlat@uaa.alaska.edu
or (907) 786-4135, or visit the CIEE Web site for details.
