The Biology Department is pleased to have as our speaker Jason Burkhead who will speak on mammalian copper homeostasis: insights from copper-associated liver disease.
Copper is an essential micronutrient in all organisms and functions in a number of physiological processes. Burkhead's multidisciplinary research investigates the cell biology and biochemistry of copper homeostasis through insight gained from copper-associated liver disease.
Remember parking on the UAA campus is free on Fridays. No-host refreshments will be provided following the discussion for which your contributions are greatly appreciated
