UAA is proud to present this year's outstanding student art works selected by Alaska juror Duke Russell. Awards are given for demonstration of superior skill, creativity and technique.
Duke Russell is a multifaceted local artist. His work can be seen in the films "North" and "Into The Wild," in marketing and advertising for Bradley Reid, and at the Anchorage Museum of History and Art. He specialized in mural design at Blaine's Art Supply, and in 2003 the "Anchorage Press" chose Duke Russell as its favorite local artist.
