UAF faculty member and INBRE researcher Dr. Erich Follman dies

by Kathleen McCoy  |

We sadly report the death of longtime UAF faculty member Dr. Erich Follmann. Erich was a member of the INBRE research group and also chair of the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee at UAF. These functions brought Erich in contact with many colleagues at UAA. Erich also was known to many for his role in the AAAS Alaska and the Arctic Institute of North America. A longtime faculty member of IAB and Department of Biology and Wildlife, Erich was well known by students, staff and faculty for his infectious enthusiasm and support for life-long learning. A celebration of life is planned shortly.
