RE: Campus Security and Fire Safety report

To help increase safety awareness we encourage you to become familiar with UAA's safety policies including campus security, alcohol and other drug use, crime prevention strategies, how to report crimes, sexual assault and other related matters. You can find these policies online at www.uaa.alaska.edu/safety and www.uaa.alaska.edu/students/campussafety.cfm.

On these websites you will find a link to the 2010 Campus Security and Fire Safety Report which includes campus crime statistics for the previous three years and fire safety information for the Anchorage campus residential community. Alcohol and drug policies and behavioral expectations for students and employees are also online as a downloadable PDF. Included are disciplinary actions for violations of these policies, resources available for assistance with alcohol and other drug issues and criminal penalties associated with alcohol and other drug use.

Questions about alcohol or drugs may be addressed through our Alcohol, Drug, and Wellness Educator at (907) 786-1214.

Questions about safety on campus may be addressed to the University Police Department at (907) 786-1120, your local police department or the Dean of Students Office at (907) 786-1214.

Being informed is a good way to be safe.
