Dr. Jeane Breinig gives a Smithsonian Spotlight talk Dec. 2

Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center, Anchorage Museum

The Smithsonian Arctic Studies Center at the Anchorage Museum is hosting Smithsonian Spotlight talks on the first Thursday of every month as part of their new exhibition "Living Our Cultures, Sharing Our Heritage: The First Peoples of Alaska" that presents over 600 Alaska Native cultural heritage objects. On Thursday, Dec. 2 at 7 p.m., poet and UAA English professor Dr. Jeane Breinig will give a talk on Haida cultural heritage and Alaska Native oral history.

Admission to the Anchorage Museum is currently free after 3 p.m. on Thursdays.
