Pamela Scott Washington to be first female African-American District Court of Alaska judge

by Kathleen McCoy  |

UAA would like to acknowledge a hallmark occasion: on Nov. 5, Pamela Scott Washington will be installed as the first female African-American District Court of Alaska judge.  Pamela was an adjunct professor at UAA during the spring 2010 semester. She also spent time at UAA as a guest speaker and domestic violence panel member when she was a municipal prosecutor--the only prosecutor in the state devoted exclusively to domestic violence cases. Congratulations, Pamela!
